Our Commitment to Sustainability
Sarah Ho receives the Robb Report Monaco & Cote d’Azur’s inaugural ‘Best of the Best’ category award’ for the 'Best Sustainable Jewellery Brand’. "We are deeply honoured to receive this award. Our commitment to sustainability drives everything we do, it is wonderful to be recognised for our vision and our values.”
At Sarah Ho Fine Jewellery, sustainability isn't just a policy; it's the heartbeat of our brand. Our journey begins with a profound respect for the earth and a dedication to crafting exquisite jewellery that not only dazzles with beauty but also upholds the highest standards of environmental and social responsibility. Each piece we create is a testament to our commitment to a sustainable future, where elegance meets ethics.
The Essence of Our Creations
In a world where resources are finite and precious, we pride ourselves on using responsibly sourced materials. Our collections feature antique gemstones, each with its own story and history, brought to new life in fresh, contemporary designs. We believe in the timeless allure of pearls and the brilliance of recycled gold, transforming these elements through innovative, modern production techniques.
Every Sarah Ho creation is a vibrant masterpiece, merging the charm of the past with the sophistication of the present. By choosing antique gemstones and recycled gold, we honour the legacy of these materials, reducing the need for new mining and minimising our environmental footprint
Leading the Way in Sustainability
Our focused goal is to revolutionise the fine and high jewellery industry by leading in sustainability and the circular economy. We are not just creating jewellery; we are crafting a movement towards a more sustainable future. Our vision encompasses several key commitments:
Responsible Sourcing
The signature Sarah Ho T&A (titanium & aluminium alloy in forest green framing an antique sourced 8ct emerald in a frame of natural, conflict-free diamonds, set in recycled 18ct gold.
We meticulously select our materials, ensuring they are sourced ethically and responsibly. This includes working with suppliers who share our values and adhere to strict environmental and social standards. For example, we only select certified conflict-free diamonds as stated in the Kimberley Process and Burmese jade from estate jewellery.
Recycling and Reuse
Embracing the principles of the circular economy, we give new life to pre-loved jewellery pieces and materials. Our recycling focus extends beyond precious metals and gemstones to include packaging and production processes, reducing waste and promoting resource efficiency. Our stationery and cardboard packaging are Forest Stewardship Council certified. Our ‘Revamp’ service retains the emotional heritage of jewels within the creation of a timeless work of art.
“Finding these unloved jewels to reimagine into something new and contemporary is the foundation of my design journey. I find that I’m able to create pieces that I never would have thought of before because something so unusual presented itself to me. How I came across the stones become as much of the story as the final design, this is the sustainable spirit and ethos at the heart of my brand.” - Sarah Ho
Innovation and Craftsmanship
The Verdant Rose earrings feature the signature Sarah Ho T&A alloy (titanium & aluminium) fashioned into a forest green rose shaped border inlaid with emeralds and diamonds and with emerald, mother of pearl and rock crystal triplet drops.
Our design philosophy combines traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge technology. By investing in modern production techniques and materials, we enhance the quality and durability of our jewellery while minimising environmental impact. For example, we prefer to use lead free solders and enamels and cadmium free alloys. We partner with workshops which are all committed to sustainability in their procurement and processes and certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council.
Conservation
Sarah Ho spearheaded the philanthropic ‘Full Circle Project’ that partnered with ethical companies Gem Forest of Switzerland and Suwaidi Pearls of the U.A.E. True to her focus on traceability and principled sourcing, this enabled Sarah to procure the very best gems and pearls from companies that ensured responsible practices along the entire supply chain. ‘Full Circle’ also gave real support to initiatives that planted trees in Madagascar and cleaned the waters in the bay of the Arabian Gulf as well as supporting a variety of educational projects in the name of conservation.
Our Promise to You
